Hans Galjaard教授简介：Hans Galjaard is professor emeritus and chairman of the Department of Clinical Genetics at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The Department provides services for the prenatal diagnosis of chromosomal aberrations, biochemical genetic disorders, and DNA-analysis for an increasing number of monogenic diseases and hereditary forms of cancer. Professor Galjaard’s research includes the elucidation of genetic and molecular cause of neurodegenerative disease, and the development of new techniques for prenatal diagnosis. In 1998, Professor Galjaard was appointed a member of the International Bioethics Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. From 1968 to 1993, he served as professor and chairman of the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics at Erasmus University. In 1966, he was appointed associate professor of cell biology. From 1962 to 1965, Professor Galjaard conducted research in radiobiology at the Atomic Energy Research Establishment, Harwell, England. He has served as a consultant to the United Nations Development Program and the World Health Organization. Professor Galjaard is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and of the Academia Europaea.

 

2. 报告人：杨换明 院士

报告题目：DNA测序技术的进展及其对生命科学的影响

杨换明院士简介： 1978年毕业于杭州大学生物系，1981年在南京铁道医学院获硕士学位。1988年在丹麦哥本哈根大学获博士学位。曾先后在美国哈佛大学、洛杉矶加州大学接受博士后训练。1994年回国在中国医学科学院暨北京协和医科大学任教授。1998年应邀到中国科学院遗传所任人类基因组中心主任。1999年9月与他的团队一起创建了北京华大基因研究中心。2000年5月他们和国家人类基因组南方、北方中心一起完成了人类基因组1%测序任务。2001年8月，提前完成人类基因组序列的完成图“中国卷”, 使中国成为这一被称为“二十世纪登月计划”的宏伟项目的唯一发展中国家，得到国际科学界的高度赞扬。杨焕明教授及其团队所承担的人类基因组、水稻基因组以及家猪、家鸡、家蚕基因组等重大项目使我国的基因组研究得以跻身于世界前沿。2003年北京华大又在SARS冠状病毒的基因组研究及诊断方法的建立中做出了新的成绩。2002年，他曾被美国的著名杂志《科学美国人》评为“年度科研领袖”之一，被日本“经济新闻社”授予科技新闻奖。目前 “北京华大”已是世界第六大、中国最大的基因组学研究中心。他现任中国科学院院士、国家“863”计划“组学”重大项目首席科学家。

Ole Döring教授简介：德国汉堡亚洲事务研究所高级研究员, 德国Ruhr大学医学伦理学教授，哲学家及汉学家。从事“渗透到文化的生物伦理”的科研工作。他的研究成果包括6本著作和发表在德国以及国际上的文集、杂志与期刊上的很多文章。如：理解与认可：以当今中国的医学伦理为例对同时代的文化解释学的思考. 2002，9-25；中国在医药伦理的实践规则上的努力：中国生物政治萌生的动机是什么、前进的方向是什么？.肯迪尼研究所伦理杂志.2004.1.39-46；伦理决定与权利界限：中国伦理的独特的框架.中国实际.2004.7.750-761；中国医学伦理的进展；中国和世界的前景.汉堡2002；理解中国生物伦理：成就、分析和思考，源自渗透着文化的生物伦理研究计划.汉堡2004。
