傅四东教授简介：

Dr. Fu is a professor of Medicine, and of Microbiology, Immunology and Tropical Medicine, as well as the Associate Director of Genomic Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He currently also serves as the Senior Advisor to the Vice President for Health Affairs in the university. Dr. Fu is a member of the editorial boards of numerous peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Fu’s main research interest is with cancer genomics. He is focused on biomarker identification and validation for early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancers. He has a long standing interest in the role of non-coding RNAs, including miRNAs, lncRNAs, siRNAs, etc. in tumor initiation and progression. In addition, Dr. Fu is deciphering the molecular mechanisms of the resolution of Type II diabetes following bariatric surgery. Dr. Fu’s research is funded by the NIH/NCI, the Wendy Case Foundation, the KACST fund, the GW’s Katzen Cancer Research Center award and other private foundations. Dr. Fu received the 2012 Elaine H. Snyder Cancer Research Award and many awards for cancer research.
